Science: The Earth

This term we are studying the Earth. We study the seven continents (Asia, America, Africa, Antarctica, Europe and Oceania), the five oceans (Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Arctic and Artarctic), the water cycle (evaporation, precipitation, condensation and collection) and the atmosphere (air, oxygen and protection).

Here is a video with a song about the continents, but they say Australia instead of Oceania.

Here is a video animation about the water cycle. It is  funny.

The musicians of Bremen - Animals Unit

http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/039/3/7/the_musicians_of_bremen_town_by_teamrocketavenger-d394bpf.gif
This term we are studying the Animals and we are going to prepare the play "The musicians of Bremen".
We learn animals names and learn to classify them by their nutrition, how they move, how they reproduce and by their skeleton.
The Musicians of Bremen is a story about some animals who are trying to live by themselves.
In the story a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster, all old and usefulness on their farms, leave their homes and set out together. They decide to go to Bremen, known for its freedom, and become musicians there. On the way to Bremen, they see a lighted cottage; they look inside and see four robbers enjoying their ill-gotten gains. Standing on each other's backs, they decide to perform for the men in hope of gaining food. Their 'music' has an unanticipated effect; the men run for their lives, not knowing what the strange sound is. The animals take possession of the house, eat a good meal, and settle in.

Ice Age

This term we are reading the book "Ice Age". We are going to watch the movie and represent the story in an adapted play.
The movie Ice Age is a 2002 American computer-animated adventure comedy film.
The story follows three Paleolithical mammals attempting to return a lost human baby to its parents.
In Science we are studying our past, explaining our live.
An Ice Age, or more precisely, a Glacial Age, is a period of long-term reduction in the temperature of the Earth's surface and atmosphere, resulting in the presence or expansion of continental ice sheets, polar ice sheets and alpine glaciers.
