Gingerbread Man

  During the second term we are studying the animals in the farm. In English we are doing the story of the Gingerbread Man.
 A gingerbread man is a biscuit or cookie made of gingerbread, usually in the shape of a stylized human.
 It is also a fairy tale about a Gingerbread Man's escape from various animals which pursue him and his eventual ending between the jaws of a fox.

Robin Hood

This Term the classes of 5th grade act out a play about Robin Hood. This is a classic English legend.

Robin Hood is an outlaw from the Middle Ages who, as modern versions say, stole the richs to give it to the poor and fought against injustice and tyranni. He was an expert with the bow and the arrows. He was the head of a band named Merry Men. Robin Hood and his band lived in Sherwood,  in Nottinghamshire.
